ROBIN JAMES HURT Born in Belfast, raised in Scotland and living in Dublin, Ireland for many years now, Robin James Hurt plays guitar like a ‘demon gadgie’ (Edinburgh slang), sings like a wee bird and plays mandolin like a man.

Robin has a rich background in touring and recording worldwide with all manner of Irish and Scots musicians, and is now also performing solo, bringing to the public a fascinating collection of material.

In his guitar case, Robin brings a wide collection of music – folk songs, original compositions, audience favourites to sing along to, a little story-telling, and a hell of a lot of nifty guitar picking; all performed with genuine warmth and passion.

Following on from a highly successful year of constant gigging and recording in 2007, Robin will be releasing his first solo album in 2008, as well as touring extensively in Ireland, the UK, the Netherlands, Denmark, Germany and the USA.
