The Temple 2 are an energetic duo fresh from the pubs and venues of Dublin and Temple Bar powered by the Acoustic Guitar of Gavin Doyle and the fierce stomping percussion of Stephen O Rourke which is matched only by the thunderous vocals of the front man. They smash out song after song interacting with the crowd every step of the way. They can take a crowd (big or small) on a journey of Irish Trad, Classic hits, Party music, singalongs and ballads from the 40s/50s/60s/70s/80s/90s right up to the modern day hits - no matter what the aim of your night or event they will have a set to blow your guests right up onto the dance-floor . The duo love nothing more then to get the crowd up and singing along, wanting to stay for another round of drinks. It’s often said at the end of their gigs “ I only came for the one drink but here we are 3 hours later”. They are also responsible for many a hungover worker on a Monday morning but they take no responsibility for this.
Between them they have played all over Ireland, UK, Denmark, Germany, Holland, Iceland, Portugal, Finland, UAE and USA. Still in their mid 20s they are incredibly talented musicians beyond their years having both studied music in college, Gavin recently completed his degree in Commercial Modern Music and is able to turn his hand to over 17 different instruments, ranging from Guitar to Piano to Saxophone to Trumpet to name a few. Percussively Stephen has played and learned many styles of percussion on instruments such as drum kit, cajon, timbale and others taking is grades through the renowned Trinity Guildhall School of Music.
Fun Fact one of them was one of the strongest men in Ireland at one point and the other was not. Have fun figuring that out the next time you see them live.
