The Crappers from Crappenhagen are a yankee convict musical duo. Kenneth (USA) and Sash (AUS) played their first gig together back in 2005 at a haunted pub in Copenhagen: Absalon. (Seriously, you can google it.) It wasn't the greatest of first gigs. Kenneth blamed it on, what he called, "A seriously bad spiritual vibe, dude" and Sasha, after being called over to a young lady's table was told "From a distance you looked pretty handsome. But up close, sitting here, you are very ordinary." Both left that gig swearing never to work with each other again.
But work together again they did. And over the years the ghosts eased up on Kenneth and for Sash, the women eased up on the emotional abuse. It didn't go away completely but it did ease up.
Now, after nearly 20 years of playing together, The Crappers can entertain any crowd and with just two voices and two guitars they can play any style you want to hear.
Yet what makes them different from other musical acts is what they play. Of course they do the number 1's, (who doesn't?), but The Crappers specialise in doing number 2's. Those songs that no one else plays but ones you will remember and fall in love with again.
"Wonderwall"? Yes, certainly. But also they will give you "She's Electric". "Smells Like Teen Spirit"? Yep, followed by a bit of "Lithium". "With or Without You"? Sure thing, served with a side of "Desire".
If you are looking for a high energy, fun and maybe even pleasantly surprising musical act, you can't go past The Crappers.
