The year was 1995. The Troublemakers acoustic duet started with humble beginnings in Athens, Greece with founding members Manos Anassis and Socratis Christoforou.
It began as a fairly new concept at the time since there were very many bands performing in the area, but an actual acoustic duo was kind of a new thing amongst the local music scene.
The Troublemakers quickly established themselves, playing various venues both local and further out of Athens city. In the summer of 1997 the greek duo had a chance to perform for a full summer season in Rodos Island for the Swedish Bar Modesty. They ended up playing there for 2 summer seasons , 1997 and 1998.
It was in November of 1998 that they had an opportunity to continue their career abroad. So The Troublemakers ventured out to Copenhagen, Denmark and started performing in the large chain of pubs and restaurants in the center of the city. Places like Rosie McGees and Old English Pub to name a few. Their popularity took them even further, and in 2001 they went global, performing in Berlin for the first time. Traveling as far north as Sweden to perform on the Viking line, the cruise line sailing between Stockholm and Helsinki. The Troublemakers continued to travel to many other destinations in Europe, as well as performing all over Denmark.
They are now based in Denmark and continue to perform their acoustic rock music to this day!Read Less
